The farmer Klaus Jodlbauer from St. Georgen near Obernberg operates a traditional pig breeding farm and has taken a major step towards sustainable agriculture and energy efficiency with the commissioning of his xelectrix energy storage system.

The PV system installed on the roof of his farm and the walls of the outbuildings harnesses the inexhaustible energy of the sun to generate clean and renewable electricity. With the xelectrix energy storage system BASIC SPLIT XPB-B80-120-HA (80 kW power / 120 kWh storage capacity), the farmer can store excess PV power and use it when needed. This not only maximizes self-sufficiency but also reduces dependence on external power sources, leading to cost savings.

The farmer already plans to expand the storage capacity to 240 kWh and will implement this project soon.

Klaus Jodlbauer is a pioneer in the region, and his decision to switch to renewable energy and use an energy storage system demonstrates that sustainable measures are not only feasible but also have positive effects on the environment, economic viability, and competitiveness.
