We warmly congratulate Riedelsheimer GbR Bakery in 84567 Erlbach, Bavaria, on their impressive 125th anniversary! Over four generations, this traditional company has consistently demonstrated foresight and innovation to secure its future.
One of these forward-thinking projects involves the energy supply of this energy-intensive operation. Since 2005, the bakery has been a member of the Environmental Pact Bavaria and has implemented heat recovery systems for its ovens and cooling systems since 2010. In addition, they operate a photovoltaic system with 28.5 kWp and the XPB-35-40 battery storage system from xelectrix (35 kW power, 40 kWh storage capacity). The storage system was installed by Solartechnik Alfons Wimmer.
A combined heat and power unit (20 kW electrical power) seamlessly connects to xelectrix's high-voltage energy storage system. This not only enables self-consumption and backup power but also provides heating and hot water independently of external energy sources.
The vision for the future goes even further, as Riedelsheimer Bakery plans to use an electric vehicle or its battery for additional energy storage capacity—a concept known as "Vehicle to Home" (V2H). This additional storage can also be used to power the operation when the vehicle is not in use.
Mr. Riedelsheimer confirms the success of the xelectrix storage solution, which ensured the continued operation of his bakery during various power outages in 2023.
